You can delete your 52 Blue account and your data at any time, directly in the app. This page exists so you can find out how without signing in — and to satisfy the app stores' account-deletion requirements.
How to delete your account (in the app)
- Open 52 Blue and go to You (tap your avatar).
- Scroll to Delete account.
- Confirm (you'll be asked to type DELETE).
Deletion is immediate and permanent — it cannot be undone.
What gets deleted
Everything tied to your account: your profile (display name, date of birth, gender and preferences, any optional declared details), your location, your personality answers and compatibility data, your match and skip history, your encryption keys, your notification token, your conversations and their encrypted messages, and your account record itself. It's removed from our live database in a single operation, not merely flagged as inactive.
What we keep, and why
If someone reported you for a safety or abuse concern, a minimized record of that report may be retained after your account is gone — containing only what's needed to protect other users (the reason and time), without identifying you beyond what safety requires. This is a lawful protection-of-others purpose. Backups are rotated out on a normal schedule.
Can't access the app?
If you can't sign in, email contact@52blue.app from the address linked to your Apple or Google sign-in and ask us to delete your account. We'll verify your request and complete it within 30 days.
A note on your messages
Because conversations are end-to-end encrypted and purged shortly after they end, most message content is already gone from our servers well before you delete your account — and we were never able to read it.
