Call out
When you're ready, tap find someone and send your call into the water. We quietly look for one person on your frequency — matched on who you are, not on a photo.
No swiping, ever

A calmer way to meet someone. One conversation at a time, found when you're ready — no endless swiping, no feed, no pressure. Private by design.
Somewhere in the Pacific, one whale calls at 52 hertz — a pitch no other whale seems to answer. For decades scientists have tracked it singing into the quiet, and the world started calling it the loneliest whale.
We think it just hasn't found the one who's listening on the same frequency.
That's the whole idea behind this app.
No decks to swipe, no inbox to manage. You reach out when you feel like it, and the app finds one person who fits — then gets out of the way.
When you're ready, tap find someone and send your call into the water. We quietly look for one person on your frequency — matched on who you are, not on a photo.
No swiping, ever

One person who fits, available right now. You see what you have in common — warm words like “you both come alive after midnight” — never a percentage or a score.
Warmth, not a score

You get one 24-hour conversation, just the two of you, end-to-end encrypted. A gentle countdown keeps it light — no backlog, no pressure to perform.
24 hours · just the two of you

If it clicks, take it into the real world — the app even suggests a public place to meet. If it doesn't, skip with no awkwardness, and they won't reappear. Either way, the app is happy to let you leave.
An app you're happy to leave

The calm is only half of it. The other half is feeling genuinely safe enough to be yourself.
Built on the Signal Protocol. Your messages, photos and voice notes are encrypted on your phone and can only be opened on theirs. Not by us, not by anyone — it's the architecture, not a policy.
Blocked on Android. On iPhone they come out blank, and the other person is told — honestly, per platform.
Sign in with Apple or Google and that's it. We don't ask for your number or an ID.
Nothing arrives until the other person allows it — just once, by default. Photos and voice notes are seen or heard once, never saved, and encrypted like everything else.
Used only to find people near you. It's never shown to anyone and never put in a link — they just see roughly how far.
~5 km awaySoft paper for reading, the deep ocean for the moments that matter. In light and dark — try the switch up top.

No profile photo, no selfie, nothing to be ranked on. Pick your initial or one of eight whales — it's what the person you're talking to sees, so the conversation does the work.
For the shy, the introverted, and anyone tired of swiping into the void and performing for strangers.
Yes. Meeting people, the 24-hour conversations, and all the safety and encryption are free. A paid tier with a few extras may come later, but trust is never behind a paywall.
There's no feed and no swiping. You get one conversation at a time, found when you ask, that lives for 24 hours. It's designed to lower the pressure and help you actually meet — then step aside.
Messages are end-to-end encrypted with the Signal Protocol, so only you and the person you're talking to can read them. We can't. Your location is used only to find nearby people and is never shown to anyone.
The conversation closes and you're both free to call out again. If it clicked, that's your cue to meet — the app suggests a public place to do it.
Adults only — 52 Blue is strictly 18+. You sign in with Apple or Google; there's no phone number, selfie or ID check.
We're starting in Egypt, in Arabic and English, on iPhone and Android. The apps aren't out yet — this page is the first look. Check back for the launch.
It's named after the 52-hertz whale that calls at a frequency no other whale seems to hear. The app is about finding the person who's finally listening on yours.
We're still calling out into the deep. 52 Blue arrives on iPhone and Android soon.
